

Ogwehoweh Skills and Trades Training Centre [OSTTC] is a recognized C.W.B Accredited Welder Test Centre receiving formal approval on January 12, 2004.
OSTTC has a unique approach to Welder Training based on the needs of the student entering the welding field. In order for the student to get a firm grasp on entry level welding, our training programs are designed to teach proper welding skills and instill good work ethics.

This course prepares individuals for All Position Stick and Flat MTG practical testing for certification with the CWB. Oxy/acetylene cutting, Plasma cutting and grinding are also covered. This course includes several hours of safety training as well as a ticket in WHMIS.

Basic Intro to Welding Theory and PracticesClasses run from 9:00a.m.to 4:00 p.m. – Monday thru Friday. Attendance is completed on a weekly basis and progress is closely monitored.
Part time and night courses will be available in the coming future, for welders who already have experience and need C.W.B. re-certification.
To teach welders how to select the proper equipment and electrodes for proper welding techniques.
To help qualify students to obtain the all position welding tickets.
State of the art Miller Welding Machines and Wire Feed Machines also by Miller.
Air filtering action system which rids the smoke and fumes from the welding shop purifies and puts clean air back into the shop.This program is taught with a combination of theory and practical applications.

GMAW and Flux Core Welding Program
Course duration 80 hours
This course is designed to teach students two processes Gas Metal Arc (MTG) and Flux Core welding on carbon steel. Each process will consist of 40 hours of training.

Oxy-Acetylene Cutting Outline
To teach the student the correct and safe way to use Oxy-Acetylene equipment
- Safe handling of oxy-acetylene equipment

- Knowledge of nozzles, cutting and welding
- Fuel gases, the advantages and limitations of different fuel gases ie: propane, acetylene

Refund Policy
OGWEHOWEH Skills and Trades Training Centre requires 50% payment of tuition upon registration for all training within the Welding facility. Upon completing 2 weeks (10 days) of training, no refund will be given.
Equipment and resource material are non-refundable after the start date. Doctor’s note will be required after 3 days of missed time.
Should a student drop out of the course due to medical reasons, a doctor’s note is mandatory. Student will be able to complete all necessary training at a later date. A doctor’s note will be required for the student to continue with training.
