

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TRAINING

This program is designed to prepare students for work in the automotive service trade, at an entry-level position.
Students will gain both knowledge and a good understanding of the terminology related to the auto industry. Topics included in the course for both manual and automatic systems are: brakes, engines, drive lines and power trains, exhaust, cooling, steering, ignitions, computerized controls and electrical systems, personal and workplace safety, problem solving, and performance standards.
Program outline: brake systems including ABS, heating and air conditioning, suspensions, starting systems, general maintenance, transmissions, tires, differentials.
OSTTC’s unique combination of classroom and hands on training will produce a well-trained individual ready to join the workforce with accountability, pride and discipline.
26-Week Program, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm
Admission Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent, G1 dirver's classification to enter program, G2 driver's license classification prior to completion of training
