Background
OSTTC is a not for-profit community owned business established in 2003 to address employer needs for skilled workers and resident needs for industry certified training.

Facilities
Located in the heart of Southern Ontario with state of the art classrooms, trade bays, computer labs, automotive, gas fitting & construction areas. Access to study and meeting rooms, food services and theatre.

Resources
OSTTC has a full complement of qualified instructors offering practical experience to students. Classes are usually at a rate of 12 students per instructor to maximize the learning process. Custom training is available to meet the needs of unique employers; some courses can be offered at our site or yours!

Erin Monture - Manager/Administrative Officer
Erin has recently completed her degree in Public Administration and Governance at Ryerson University. She has also received her certificate in Computer Business from Sheraton College and continues to advance her education through Distance Education courses. Previously, Erin has been working in the field of Financial Management. She has over 10 years experience in office management and administrative skills in various office environments. Primary responsibilities include: maintain daily operations of school, office administration, student registrations, instruct business plan development and accounting training sessions, and assist classroom instructors.

Blake Bomberry Jr. - Automotive Instructor
Blake has his certificate for adult education. Blake brings nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive field and 20 plus years as a certified inter-provincial automotive service technician to the classroom. Primary duties include: curriculum development coupled with instruction and hands-on practical experience in both manual and automatic systems for all participants. Additional training includes estimating and invoicing, portfolio development and service manual labour guide via computer.

Richard Green - Welding Instructor
Richard Green holds the Red Seal Certificate of Qualification as a Welder 456A and Metal Fabricator (437A) as well as certifications in SMAW, FCAW and GMAW processes. He brings with him more than 20 years experience in the metal working trades, starting his career as a Boilermaker apprentice with STELCO Inc., then Welder Fabricator. His trade experience has also included extensive machining and highly specialized water-jet cutting. Richard has enjoyed a rewarding teaching career in the welding, fabricating and metal working trades since 2005 with Niagara College, Mohawk College and currently with Ogwehoweh Skils and Trades Training Centre. Richard has earned additional qualifications as Level 1 Welding Inspector and Welding Supervisor through the Canadian Welding Bureau.

Trina Henhawk - Information Technologist
Trina became a MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator ) after graduating from the TeKnoWave Networking Systems Administrator/Analyst program through Willis College in 2004. Trina has a combined experience in the computer, customer service and administrative industry. Following a post secondary education in Fashion Design, Trina contemplated entering the tool and dies trade and subsequently pursued training in computers to provide an advantage in the trade. Well suffice it to say, she was hooked and remained in the computer industry! Primary responsibilities include: general office administration, Computer support and maintenance, and classroom instruction.

M. Cathy Smith - Youth & Special Projects Officer
Dedicated educator with 20+ years of educational experience, recognized for innovation in program development, instruction and administration to meet the needs of a broad range of students. Cathy has experience as a team teacher for Brock University, special education teacher [elementary] and as youth project leader for OSTTC in the delivery of “Committed to Self Improvement”, “Onwards and Upwards”, and “Making Your Mark”. Cathy received an Early Childhood Education diploma from Niagara College and earned her Ontario Teacher’s Certificate from Brock University. Primary responsibilities include: classroom instruction, event planning and administrative duties of O.S.T.T.C.

Beverly Gibson - GED Instructor
Beverly has been an educator at Six Nations for 17 years. Bev has taught all grades from Kindergarten to grade 12. She also has experience as a Math instructor with Mohawk Conestoga College. Bev has assisted many students in achieving their G.E.D. and has received her Bachelor of Arts and Education degree from Brock University in St. Catherine’s. In addition, Bev has experience in curriculum development and has been an instructor for two of the 8 week SUCCESS programs. Primary responsibilities include: G.E.D. teaching, and tutoring.
